Argan Oil vs. Moroccan Oil - which is better?
Argan Oil? Moroccan Oil?
What's the difference?
Which is better?
There are a lot of products available now that are claiming to be oil based and derived from Morocco. There is however a distinct difference between these two commercial oils.
Argan Oil:
Native only to Morocco, Argan Oil is pressed from the kernels of the argan tree. This is the purest form of Argan Oil and is used natively for various purposes such as: skin treatment(acne and moisturization), hair care and even cooking.
Moroccan Oil:
Commercial Moroccan Oil is a modified version of Argan Oil. Morrocan Oil is a combination of Argan Oil plus other oils and additives so it is not the purest form of Argan Oil. Products labeled as "Morrocan Oil" are not a bad choice, however, they are often more runny and watery compared to products blended with Argan Oil as the main ingredient.
The Verdict:
Argan Oil is from Morocco so Argan Oil is Moroccan Oil. However, if you’re on the hunt for the best Moroccan Oil product, you’re better off with an Argan Oil based product because it is the purest form of Moroccan Oil.
